I don't think I displayed confusion over fragmentation, but thanks..

But as you pointed out, as tablespaces grow, you still need to know how much space you have left in them, and with uniform extents you might want X extents to be available, with dictionary tablespaces your criteria must be different.. hece the query i posted earlier.
