People probably are duplicating RAC on windows and other platforms. Duplicating RAC to RAC may be a small minority. How many of them read this newsgroup is a good question.

Depending on storage environment, duplicating may be slower ( much much slower ) than other hardware based techniques. On EMC you can establish and break bcv's and/or use srdf. Other storage vendors have similar capabilities.

But getting this capability added (if its not already available) to duplicate RAC to RAC is a good idea. Received on Wed Apr 06 2005 - 10:45:52 CDT
