yeap Jesse you are right ... I would also recommand to store the Archive Logs of all Instances to one common folder located on an OCFS Drive. This is essential to give the remaining instance in case of an instance failure the ability to do an instance recovery for the one which has failed. Without this possibility you will not be able to run without interuption and manual intervention. To get rich of the archive redo logs and to store them away to tape you should create a scheduled job within the job-system of the OEM and use rman to do this job for you.
