This has probably been asked and answered somewhere before now, but Google only returns three answers and one of those is in fluent Japanese (and the other two don't help).

Oracle 10g on Linux, Enterprise Manager, attempting to alter the archive log mode of the database: it asks me to supply node and database credentials, and when I do, I get this error:

RemoteOperationException: ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only)

Any suggestions? Normally, Enterprise Manager works fine. I can't think what I've done or haven't done this time around.
