Sorry 'bout that: L6 is the "List (line) 6" SQL*Plus command. Thought the full command options in Oracle speak would have made it clear.
So: the answer should have been:
What's wrong with SQL*Plus capabilities? LIST 6 (or: L6 for short) would have done the same.
