Someone suggested that I rename the exisiting files of 9i (oratab and
orainstall.loc) under /var/opt/oracle
so that OUI will install a "clean" copy of 8i.
Will it cauase any problem (like a seprate listner fo 8i)?
If the ORACLE_HOME of 9i is /opt/oracle/920, can I install 8i at a completely different directory (e.g., ORACLE_HOME = /u01/oracle/app/product/817)?
