Fast backups on Linux.....

Help!!!!!

I need to find a better backup solution for my 9.2.0.4 db on Red Hat AS3. Currently we backup 250+GB to disk over NFS on a busy machine. It takes about 6-8hours. I'd like to see this shrink to 1hr or so. I'm thinking Veritas Net Backup using Block Level Incremental option, and geting a realy fast tape drive.

Love to hear your thoughts on this or other proven reliable and fast backup solutions.
