I am fully aware of that.  However the OP asked for "Oracle Grid".
Not "grid". The paper you cite defines it as Oracle's Grid Infrastructure.
Which currently *is* RAC and a bit of OAS.
So, "oracle grid" most likely = RAC.  At the moment.
