Actually there were forumla's for sizing an SGA with dedicated connections in previous releases of Oracle's documentation. If their website was working properly i'd grab a url.

Who said I was ignoring your advice? I was just looking for something more detailed. Also, find me a link where Oracle says not to use more than 1/2 of available ram. You can use as much as you want but you risk swapping which is a "bad thing".
