I already checked Oracle9i installation guide, in page 2-5 "OS required patches" it made no mention on patches that shoule be applied to Solaris 2.8 32-bit, it only shows "Update 5 (07/01)" for patches on Solaris 2.8 64-bit. On page 2-12 "Precompilers and tools Restrictions and Requirement" suggested to use "Sun Forte Workshop C/C++ 6.1" for compiler on Solaris 32-bit, I'm currently using "Sun WorkShop C/C++ compiler version 5.0".
Does anybody know if I upgrade my c/c++ compiler to "Sun Forte Workshop C/C++ 6.1", will it update my /usr/lib/libc.so to version `SUNW_1.20.4' too?
By the way, what patches associate to version 'SUNW_1.20.4', I found no information on Sun site that relates version label 'SUNW_1.20.4' to any support patches.
Thanks,
Vance
