I wish that you Daniel Morgan and others -- probably with yellow ribbons on
their bumpers saying “support our troops” while driving your gas-guzzling
SUVs -- were really aware of the situation. All that those yellow ribbons
are saying is that they support Bush, not our troops. But cut through
Bush’s yawp, spin and palaver and lo and behold -- Bush is supporting
Kellogg, Brown and Root and their ilk to whom he gave those cushy
contracts while others risk their lives and take bullets for them. These
kids aren’t defending America any more than I am -- they’re defending
Bush’s get-rich-quick pals, and I am incensed that those kids are pawns in
this web of official deceit. Meanwhile Bush struts around posing as the
Great War President. Disgraceful is too gentle a word for the degree of
dissembling and mendacity of this administration.
