Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> RMAN backup readonly/offline datafile.
Hi,All
I have oracle 817i running in w2k.And we used rman to backup the
database termly.
We wrote a rman incremental script to backup the database with skip
readonly and offline options.
What I want to ask is that if I need backup the datafile/tablespace
manually(use rman,write another script)just after the
datafile/tablespace turn offline or readonly.Is rman smart enough to
do these(find out which datafile or tablespace state are changed,then
backup them) in a convenient way.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
wy.
