ora 19502 with adding datafile

i wanted to add a new datafile. my current free space value is 3790940K. i started with 3650000K but i got the below messages

ORA-19502: write error on file
"/oracle/SID/mydata/btabd_56/btabd.data56",

          blockno 450561 (blocksize=8192)
          ORA-27063: skgfospo: number of bytes read/written is
incorrect
          IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 28: No space left on device
          Additional information: -1
          Additional information: 1048576
          ORA-19502: write error on file

          (blocksize=8192)

incorrect
          IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 28: No space lef

afterwhich i changed to 3500000Kand everything is fine.

i suspect that some space is needed for the block headers.. please confirm.
