Hi,
The installation guide says I need 512Mb of physical memory on Linux. Fine I have that. But later on in the install guide it says configure shmmax to 1/2 the physical memory of your box (in bytes). Ok, that's 512Mb/2 * 1024 * 1024 = 268435456 bytes, but then when I run the installer I get a warning saying the shmmax
Checking for shmmax=2147483648; found shmmax=268435456. Failed <<<<
is the doc wrong, and I'm supposed to set shmmax to the number of bits? (2147483648/8/1024/1024 = 256Mb)
Or is the installer wrong and checking for 2147483648.
Note that in the doc, they give an example of 2147483648 when setting the shmmax
I'm proceeding with the install as is, but I was just curious
Thanks
Jay
