So you have no problem at all! Just sit in your office dring a tea and/or coffee and if someone will come to complain about performance just blame the vendor. Without access to code you can't tune anything. Well, they're some possibilities (maybe outlines, disk tunning, some memory allocation changes), but blaming on vendor is quite reasonable and much more efficient.
