You do not create a database with Enterprise Manager - you use DBCA (Data Base Creation Assistant).

However - before you do that. I strongly urge you to first read the Oracle Concepts guide.

It's like flying. You cannot just jump into a plane and fly it. Even if you have a PPL (private pilot license). Aircraft are different even if they have one engine and a set of wings (never mind multi-engine, jet engine and eggbeaters).

The first thing any pilot does before getting into a new unfamiliar plane is to read the POH (Pilot Operating Handbook) of that plane. If not, he will likely be a mess on the ground - dead. Not a pretty sight.

Okay, so you're unlikely to kill yourself using Oracle without reading the Oracle Concepts guide.

But take it for granted that you will be making a lot of smelly messes if you don't. And nor will it be a pretty sight to behold. Except for Sybrand.. maybe.. he has a bit of a perverse sense of pleasure at times... :-)
