My apologies if I wasn't clear. I want the user 'oracle' to start and shutdown the database. But I would like the user 'test' (and other users) to be able to connect to the database and use sqlplus. At the moment, they can't and I am trying to fix it. (The user 'oracle' can do all these things; but I would like to keep it just for dba tasks and not regular querying tasks.)
