Oops... translate2, I meant.

And after thinking about it... I can see that you might want it to handle NULL's differently.

However, to be fair, ALL routines (including traditional) should be handling NULL values the same way... which isn't the case. So blame it on Dan again... who didn't specify how NULLs should be handled.
