Oracle to XML Conversion

I am using Oracle 9.2.0.4 on IBM AIX 5.1L. I have a instance named "GATES" which has around 100 tables.

I would like to extract some data from these tables and make an XML file out of it. I then have to UPLOAD this XML File to other Applicaiton.(this other application is designed to accept only XML File formats)

My question is what is the best possible way to move data from Relational Tables to and XML File? Any related information on this is appreciated.
