A much better question ... and thank you for not being offended by the unvarnished nature of my posting. It was intended to be constructive and I am glad you took it that way.

Migration is documented at:
http://otn.oracle.com
http://docs.oracle.com
and in files (html and pdf) on the Oracle CD set.

The critical thing here is try this several times, at least, on a test machine before trying it for anything real.
