Hi,

No idea, sounds strange, Oracle should not change your browser settings. It could be that you cannot see your dns servers at the moment and its a coincidence? and that the error pages are being picked up from Oracle instead of the M$ ones?

Try disabling apache and the servlet engine and retest your internet connection and see if one of them is causing it. Also check your browser settings.

You can disable the new OSE stack by removing the line

dispatcher=(PROTOCOL=TCP) (SERVICE=orat92XDB)

from the init.ora.

you can shut down apache by running "apachectl stop" or run from the start menu if you are on windows.

There is a good paper by Roby Sherman on disabling webby things. I cannot remember the URL but there is a link on my site http://www.petefinnigan.com/orasec.htm its the last paper on the page.

hth

kind regards

Pete
