Did you actually read this? Where did Tom say in this link that he uses the BCHR for tuning (which is what the OP was asking about)?

In fact, Tom says "You cannot look at a number -- 3,200,691 -- and draw ANY conclusions." And "My only idea is -- ignore the cache hit ratio. It is not what you want to focus on." And "A cache hit ratio has no meaning to me or anyone else as an indicator of a tuned system."

And in this thread, didn't you say "Kyte says the only ratio he uses is parse/execute. Its in both of his
books and i believe on his website."? Why now post a reply where you attempt to say that he said something that contradicts your earlier statements?

Please read the material for comprehension before using it to defend your point.
