Is this really a tempfile? I just tried it and *my* database came up just fine. In fact, although I have managed to drop and re-add a fresh tempfile, I'm at a loss as to how to make my database recognize the lost file. even alter system check datafiles dowsn't bring up any error. Somehow the dbastudio managed to get an error when I click on the temp file but that doesn't change the status or anything in v$tempfiles.

Lots of Greetings!
