Naw, my opinion comes from working with it for most of a decade+ on customer/employers boxes, name-brand and otherwise, vs sometimes lucking out and getting a nice workstation. And comparing it as a server to unix or VMS servers. Every few years they come out with some new buzz, and I say to myself "self, finally, you can use this as a real OS." And every few years I am severely disappointed. The PB was explicitly a cheap system for a then-2-year-old. It still does work ok except for when updates from Redmond screw it up or Disney products expect some kind of weird video card or whatever.
And of course, Frankenbox is dual'ed with linux, and that really shows how bad windows is.

Noted and agreed. Waiting for the after XMas sales to put together a nice Linux/Oracle box. Hardware recommendations still being solicited.
