Yes, it will be a twice quicker than before. ;-) Of course, just joking. Performance impacts of moving 32bit - 64bit are impossible to estimate without deep knowledge of system we're talking about. In general, if you think that your database needs more memory than is possible to allocate with 32-bit (<10% dbs) then yes moving to 64-bit will give you a possibility to help your application to achieve a better performance. However, if we're talking about a smaller system then in fact your performance can be even worse than before. As conlusion, I would not recommend you moving to 64-bit if you really do not know what are you doing and what you want to achieve by this. On the other side I've personally done a migration from 32->64bit several times and never encountered serious issues afterwards, so there is no need for big fears, just do not think about this as some method of perf tunning or a way of setting famous Oracle's parameter FAST_ORACLE to true. :-)

P.S. Of course, if you're changing HW/Os platform and on new one 64-bit Oracle is the only available, then of course that's your only choice and all discussion are null.
