Hi Guy,

It is not possible to use wild cards with the protocol.ora file instead look into Oracle connection manager which does allow wild car usage. You can restrict on source and destination. Rules are added to the cman.ora file and to use connection manager add use_cman=true in the sqlnet.ora file.

ipfiltering is another option either at the router or on the database server. Also ip restrictions can be added as firewall rules.
