No. I didn't mean it seriously. It was more of a rhetorical question.

You are correct. In my first post to this thread, I did focus only on the recovery side of the coin. And your post focused on the backup side of the coin. And unless I misread your post, you seemed to say that incrementals are considered for saving time and space in backups. But I feel that incrementals can also save you time on recovery as well. So in my followup, I was trying to point out that there are two sides, both of which must be considered. I incorrectly stated one side at first, probably because the OP was concerned about incrementals in the recovery phase, so I incorrectly limited my answer to just that side.

You never did say anything that was along those lines. And I didn't mean to imply that those were a representation of you comments, because I (and most in this group) know better of that from you. I was just trying to state, for those following the thread, and to correct my earlier post, that *both* sides of the coin must be considered.
