Domenic, I have many similar stories.. but worse. Most of them are from developers, system architects and the like. Developing for Oracle, designing systems using Oracle, without a friggen clue about even the *basic* concepts of Oracle.

A typical day for me? A reference manual 'cause there's no time to RTFM when hacking code and I'm a telephone call away.

Not that I mind assisting & supporting people. Heck, been part of my job since forever. But I do mind explaining syntax and basic concepts to what I consider senior developers.

Solution? None AFAIK.
