My favorite platform so far is still Sun. We have a couple of heavily loaded Sun servers and never had any problems after 5 years. The fibre optic card did go crazy once though. Other than that everything was smooth. One thing I like about Sun is that they are very innovative and focused on UNIX. HP on the other hand also sells Windows systems and a host of other products, and is now in the middle of merger and Itanium migration. Its future is quite unclear. From my own experience, the quality of their PC service has definitely gone downhill. We just have to see what happens on the server side.
