Without going into too much detail:

  1. Install 64-bit Solaris.
  2. You can run 32-bit Oracle on 64-bit Solaris...this is very very common.
  3. There is no "32-bit" mode as far as Oracle is concerned. Just stick in the 32-bit version of the software, install, and do your work normally.
