Uh...materialized views and synonyms arent related in any way.  Its
like saying you're not sure what the difference between a typewriter
and an Atari 2600.



Very high level:



Anyhoo, a synonym is kinda like an alias for an object that is granted
to you, but you dont own.



A materialized view is a snapshot of data.
