some simple question about RMAN

I am learning to use RMAN on 9i.

In RMAN prompt, can we spool the result to a file? All the result just poured onto the screen, how can I spool it to a file and process it later?

In RMAN prompt, if the command is mistyped, I have to retype it all? Is there any way we can make "ed" working on RMAN as well?
