Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Re: Outsourcing developer to India and China - As an Oracle developer I am miffed
Good point Dave. The WTO is screwing Mexican farmers too. I think the good
ol' US of A would like to own the world food supply.
Bottom line, people have basic necessities and the right to do what it takes
to survive. Beyond that, there is greed. Most people are willing to pamper
themselves with luxuries while people around them starve. This is the nature
of people. I am guilty of this myself. We will continue to have people
walking on the backs of other people until we extinguish the world or until
a miracle happens an the consciousness of human kind is raised and altruism
becomes the norm and not the exception. Personally, I think our days as a
species are numbered. The global ecosystem is foundering and 4 billion
hungry people are not in a position to care. Those that are in a position to
care simply don't want to hear it.
I would not be surprised if 10g is the last release we see.
Survival Instinct + Limited Intelligence + Limited Resources = Wars, Disease, Environmental collapse = Extinction
So Mr., Ellison ... sail your little boat.
