Okay. I will try to love my LOBs. Er.. do I need some kind of protection or what.. does having a large tablespace make you score better..? ;-)
You get weird people. And nah, I'm not refering to myself in particular.
Many years ago I knew this guy who.. well, cannot call him a computer nerd as that was before the days of nerd and pocket protectors. He kind of reminded me of those IBM engineers they that were never allowed the customer to see.
Once he demo'ed a new system he wrote to me. He deleted a beacon (a legal surveying point) from the database. The live database. He did though took great care in writing down the beacon's details and coordinates on stickme note and stuck it to the terminal.. could not recall if he did add it back into the database.
Anyway, he often worked late. In the morning you will find him curled up against the FEP with a blanket. (for you young guys, FEP is a Front End Processor for a mainframe :-)
Yeah... there's all kinds and levels of "loving" when it comes to computers, FEPs and LOBs.. ;-)
