I just want to confirm you're saying that:

SQL*Net roundtrips to/from dblink 1,429,402 397.1/sec 7.1/tran contribute to
SQL*Net message from dblink 1,428,648 55 454,719 3 7.1

I can think of at least two frequently executed query that does a join, and would benefit from this, but I doubt it's going to help significantly.
