I don't have any tests, and it wouldn't make too much of a difference anyway, cuz as they say, YMMV.

But I'd expect Oracle to perform better on a multi-CPU system. This way, more than one background process can be obtaining CPU cycles at the same time. In the CPU world, (Y cpus * X GHz) != Y*X GHz. They aren't necessarily apples to apples.
