Welcome to the real world, Daniel!

What about that: our customer needs some new features in the application, we implemented last year for him. Analysis, implementation and tests take roundabout 4 months. Parallel with implementation customer has new needs (his business is heavily changing) and a further release is planned, design and implementation takes place, while the first release is in acceptance test...and so on...and so on...

Your attitude would simply put us out of business!
