There is a more insidious third kind.

Post a question that can only result in someone talking and giving operational details about a seldom used feature/option.
Then a few days later, comments about that feature show up in another newsgroup or mail list or "report", suitably doctored to enhance/denigrate it, depending on how it's more convenient.

I find that one particularly low-life. Like I said: it takes all kinds...
