Ah! But they charge themselves at $2K/day to install SAP and "vision and design" your system in no time at all. Preferably for the next 18 months. And if they can do it with their "support" group in India, so much the better. Great value for money.

Narh. Last time I applied for a tender I was told my proposal was frontline technically, but I wouldn't get it. Because my company wasn't big enough to sue in case of litigation. That put me off running my own show permanently. It's not worth it when this is the widespread attitude of IT "management".

No wonder some economists are saying IT is redundant. With this sorry lot managing it...

It's how many lawyers you can muster that counts. Nothing else really. Ah yes, and a few kickbacks here and there. Let's not talk about the inside jobs.
