Sadly, yes, that IS the best he can do. Believe it or not, I've seen much worse from him.

I have never been a newsgroup where folks like Nuevo de Soto Pinto can get arrogant and condescending while at the same time missing the whole point!

It's actually quite amusing to see these self-proclaimed experts pontificate about stuff that know little about! Some of the funniest are from the Oracle "teachers", fools teach Oracle in trade schools and junior colleges!
