Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Can OEM list the Nodes folder in terms of IP address, instead of Hostname
Hi,
I'm using OEM version 9.2.0.1, using OMS, to discover all the nodes to be managed. The problem is, my client prefer the node name be in the form of IP Address, instead of the node name. Can this be done?
Also, I realise that once I discover a note, lets say with IP Address: 192.100.100.54 & hostname: test, OEM seems to associate 192.100.100.54 to test hostname. What I mean is that, when I later delete this node from the nodes folder in OEM, and change the hosts file (IP Address: 192.100.100.54, hostname: test1), and then do another discovery through the IP Address 192.100.100.54, the discovery will fail. I can only discover using the hostname test1. I guess OMS stores the initial IP Address & hostname in the repository db. Can someone please help me to solve this problem.
Lastly, I also have problem with OS authentication db using OEM. How do I login into OEM as SYSDBA, if OEM is running on Win2000 server? The only OS user that has SYSDBA privilege on HP-UX is Oracle, and the remote_os_authent parameter is set to false.
Please do advice. Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Jeffrey
