A several people tried to explain to you, disk may not be the issue. Your
assertions would only apply if your processors are equally powerful. People
doubt about that.
I think you need first to sort out whether the Solaris processors aren't
significantly slower and work from there.
You could of course also obtain wait statistics, either from v$session_wait
or by enabling event 10046 in your database, level 8
