666. The Bastard DBA (from hell)
knows that if the developers can code against the dictionary in development, that they will write code that relies upon this, and complain when it does not work in QA and Production (as of course, it does not get tested along the way).

Instills enough fear in duhvelopers of being exposed of not being clueful, that they will not be lazy and just ask a question without making a token effort in the documentation.
