I visit Steve's site a lot and also Jonathan Lewis's site. I've done quite a few queries on Google and Metalink. Got a lot of "stuff" regarding multiblock read count but maybe some of it is "too" subtle for me to understand, I don't know. I've seen and understand discussions of why the p3 value may be smaller than the specified value.

However, I still don't see why the p3 (# blocks read) is LARGER than the mbrc of 8.
