BOUNDFILLER in 8.1.7

Hello folks,
with my greatest surprise I found out that BOUNDFILLER is working on 8.1.7, not only 9i.

I understand that this seems a minor achievement taking into consideration that 8.1.7 is going to be desupported soon, but I was frankly amazed to see it working.
It's worth noting that in the Utilities manual BOUNDFILLER shows up only once in the syntax diagram but there are no explanations or examples whatsoever, and I stumbled on it only today after years. Note also that "Oracle SQL*Loader" book from O'Reilly states that BOUNDFILLER is a 9i only feature, but this is not true.
