Doubt it. > One possible scenario where this might be sensible. You have two applications, which are not RAC-compliant - i.e. no chance of two-node RAC scaling at all. For resilience purposes, you set up application A with node1 its active node and node2 its passive node; then set up application B so that node 2 is its active node and node1 its passive node. Each application is (close to) running on a dedicated server system, but with a failover position where both applications will be running on one server.
