Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Newbie install problem: 9iAS on RH AS 2.1
Hi all!
I'm trying to install Oracle 9iAS 9.0.2.0.1 on RedHat Advanced Server 2.1.
To install RH, I followed note 215288.1. To install iAS, I'm following note 191567.1. (don't have the links at hand, sorry)
So far, I was able to follow all the steps in the above notes without a problem up to the "Configuration Tools" step (the window where Oracle lists all the component that is configuring/starting - "The following tools will be automatically started for you").
At this stage, where no user intervention is needed, some components do not end successfully and I wrote the error details down.
The first component to fail is "Single Sign-On Configuration Assistant": it executes a PL/SQL procedure (ssooidd.sql, if I'm not mistaken) but then produces the following:
.
.
.
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

More (but not all) components are then failing (namely - "Infrastructure mod_osso Configuration Assistant", "OC4J Instance Configuration Assistant", "OPMN Configuration Assistant - start OPMN", "OPMN Configuration Assistant - start HTTP Server", "OPMN Configuration Assistant - start DAS Instance"): not sure if because of the first error or not. I can of course provide more info if needed.
Considering that I have little experience with Oracle and even less with Linux, I'm desperately looking for a "Good Samaritan" willing to lend a hand :-)
Anyone out there?
