Did you use ftp to get the file to the W2K machine? Guess you copied it in ascii mode and that corrupts the file. Ftp it binary.

In 8i you had to create V7 exp/imp views (run script catexpv7) to be able to import a V7 dump. Don't have tried it in 9i with a 8i dump yet, but it must be possible.
