Thanks Connor. As I mentioned earlier, we have not actually lost anything at this time, but are looking to set up and test the DR proceedures. It turns out that the backups were not using controlfile autobackup. This has been corrected, but in the meantime...

Is it possible to backup just the controlfile? Since the DR site is some distance from us, and most actions are via PCAnywhere through a dialup connection, If I can backup just the control file, I can probably transfer that via dial-up, else I have to send someone this afternoon with new tapes.
