SuSE Enterprise Server is cheaper, $749.00.

Keep in mind that Linux companies must pay Oracle for certifications, so you get what you pay for. Linux costs are still a very small fraction of the overall costs of a new Oracle system (Oracle licenses, hardware, etc).
